KANNAWIDAN YLOCOS FESTIVAL

Kannawidan Festival is usually celebrated every last week of January to first two weeks of February. The Ylocos Kannawidan Festival opens with a beautiful fireworks display that amazed and marked the opening of festival.



Me and my family went to the Tawid ken Kultura, Ilocos Sur Trade and Food Expo. It is a trade fair that promotes the local products of different towns in Ilocos Sur. It is filled with furniture, handicrafts, floriculture nurseries, research-based products and innovations, food and refreshment, and dry goods.    



    For me Kannawidan Festival is very important because this festival is a showcase of indigenous performances, religious rituals, as well cooking demos featuring the best of Ilocano dishes. There are a lot of activities for Kannawidan which include traditional games, cultural shows, fireworks display, comedy nights, entertainment, food fest, pet shows, and competitions.
